For Episode 11 of the UNSUNG podcast, MixedByJocelin and Matt Soczywko were joined by the multi-talented L. Dre in Los Angeles at Just For The Record Recording Studios. He talks learning piano, being an introverted producer, building an audience, pivoting from selling beats to releasing his own music and being inspired by J Dilla.
Dom acquired Audiomovers for Abbey Road Studios. Now running the business, Dom is also on the Board of Abbey Road REDD incubator. She previously launched the first-ever music streaming + hardware ecosystem for PURE (Imagination Technologies), has created award-winning products, ran hacks, art shows and exhibited and published poetry.
Yuriy began his career as a game developer in Donetsk, then settling in the world of audio; which saw him land a job with Avid and working as a team lead for 7 years. Yuriy then headed to Waves Audio, which saw him work on the Waves SuperRack mixer among many other exciting projects, and it was here where his partnership with Igor and Audiomovers begun.
After graduating, Igor landed a job as a sound technician at a TV Station in Israel, and whilst working there spotted an ad for a QA engineer position at Waves Audio. From there, he spent almost 10 years at Waves Audio in various roles, from QA to Product Manager. This is also where he met Yuriy and where they developed Audiomovers together.
